The Cattle Market Project.

The Cattle Market was built in 1886 and has withstood two world wars, a decline in trading livestock, a devastating fire and most recently, a pandemic. The Cattle Market Project aims to discover and document the past and present of the area and preserve the history for future generations.

The project includes documenting 20 oral history interviews, a documentary film, 2 photography projects, drawing workshops in schools and loads more.

The Cattle Market Project is managed by me and run by the The Cattle Market & East Croft Heritage Group CIC of which I’m a co-director. It’s supported by Arthur Johnson & Sons Auctioneers and with funding from The Heritage Lottery Fund.
